August 2021 Weather Discussion

Post by tron777 »

Sorry for the delay folks in getting the Aug thread started. Copied over from the July thread to get things started.

57 this morning at CVG, and about the same here. Look for a lovely weather day today and really, for most of next week. Highs in the U70s to L80s thru about Tues then the mid 80s Wed and Thurs with the U80s by Fri going into next weekend. Lows in the 50s and 60s thru the period.

No need for the apologies - not like we have anything exciting to discuss anyways LOL. Although a few lucky souls could see a shower or thundershower this afternoon especially Columbus area IMO.

Gauge remained dry up my way today.

Looks like next chance of any showers / t-storms won't be until sometime next weekend or early next week.

Had 2 good ground wetters at my Brother's yesterday. Nothing at The Dome naturally here. Gonna be a while. ILN has a 30% POP in now for Wed so there is my next disappointment in the works. Awesome temps the next two days though at least.

Good Morning and a beautiful start to the day. Down to once a week for mowing and even a few brown spots near the sidewalks when I mowed yesterday. Picked up .17 inches yesterday so enough to water the flowers and the main area of the yard is still lush but not getting as high so the rate of growth has gone down. The week ahead looks great for early August even though some rain would be nice but chances are low until later in the week once we get the humidity to head higher.

0Z Euro shows very little for CVG over the next 10 days. Tenth of an inch at best total QPF. :(

Two solid downpours yesterday. Certainly needed it. It’s all good though at least the drier weather means less time cutting grass

Summer of comfort east of the Mississippi rolls on . So many beautiful days with relatively short uncomfortable periods .

Got by mowing only twice in July, it never looked bad , just didn't grow , another to good to be true benefit of the coolish temps

Yes my summer of heat a big bust and very happy that has happened. We are in the dry part of the growing season so even a dry next 2 1/2 months will not cause much problems though its always nice to have some rain during this period. I know its only a few months before we really start talking about the upcoming winter and always nice to see.

I busted as well. Only compliant from me is lack of rain the last 2 weeks. Rest of it has been pretty good.

Les I have been lucky on the rain and even yesterday's rain helped with the flowers. I would take this summer every year

Looks like we may have a contest day or two coming up by late this weekend or early next week. Until then, decent temps with little rainfall expected. Love that 52 degree dew point right now. :)

Good morning all! No changes to the forecast. Dry weather is the name of the game. A small chance still is there for Wed but not a huge deal really at all. The 90s still look poised to return by late in the weekend going into next week. Any significant chances for rain, are still way out in fantasy land.

Wow! What was your temp outside if your truck had a reading? Guessing low 50s?
