Good Afternoon and over 1/3 of an inch this morning here. One of those mornings that the sky unleashed all the humidity from the day before. Going to mention the heat wave out west and it is getting national attention and this time it should. Usually the heat in the northwest is later in the summer and sometimes the warmest days of the year is in Sept and Oct. So getting the heat in June is rare but what I have seen that is even more rare is the high dew points for much of the northwest. Usually they will get heat but dew points in the 30's and 40's. This time we are seeing dews in the low 60's in some place which seems low for us but they are not equip to have the high temps and the higher dew points at the same time. If this was a cold wave of course the national media would be sitting on their you know what.

Love the 12z Euro solution for the weekend. A nice high over Iowa and MO on Saturday with any showers well off to the east with the upper low over the Apps. :) Right now I like the idea of mainly dry conditions on Saturday with any shower risks in our Eastern counties. I think that call attm is solid. Highs in the mid to upper 70s looks good depending on any cloudiness. The 4th also looking great for everybody. :)

Got hammered in Florence at Red Lobster when I was just there for dinner. Got back home to The Dome and just a few sprinkles and that's it along with some thunder thus far. Temp has dropped to 80 imby so that is at least more tolerable. CVG got up to at least 94 today! Radar right now shows scattered storms to my N and S so The Dome is 100% in effect here.

Slightly better chances for scattered storms today and tomorrow. Biggest change from earlier thoughts is the widespread soaking rains region wide don't look to materialize. I'll go with 40-50% chance today and 60-70% chance tomorrow. So we wull see the haves and have-nots. Qpf will have a large range .25" -3.0" for the lucky ones

Def keeping my fingers and toes crossed here. I truly could use the rain. Lawn has started to brown now in the areas that aren't shaded. Still no measurable rain for my hood since June 19th. :( Nothing going on locally attm with everything currently in IND Land. Hopefully all who need the rain can get it.

I love to play cards and such so you've got to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. When it comes to The Dome you play the odds and typically are successful the majority of the time.

Nice band of storms from near Bloomington, IN to the Dayton area. That cell N of Oxford will probably miss you to the NW Mike. A classic Dome track. :lmao:

Oh absolutely yes - have seen this a hundred times. :) My prediction - it will pass by a few blocks to my north, then expand to the south once it is by me. LOL
