Snow showers in ILL coming our way as well with that last piece of energy. That activity could put down a local 1/2" too where the bands occur.

I think so. This band is slowly heading east, but it's intensifying right over Montgomery county as it does so. I would say we will end up around 2 inches.

Drove from Bellbrook to Fairfield this evening. I-675 to I-75 to I-275. Left at 8:50 and got home at 10:10. Roads were completely snow-covered most of the way until I got to Tylersville. Traffic was going between 25 and 45 with average rate of speed about 40 MPH. Only saw 2 cars off the road and one into the wall which was better than I expected. A good part of the way visibility was ~1/2 mile. Some good snowfall rates. Was thinking 2-3 inches . When I got home we had about in inch in Fairfield (near Mercy Hospital). Looked at the radar and could see why. Heavy band intensified going east to west over I-75 and then moved back west to east. Someone in there had to get 3 inches between Liberty Way and I-675. I should have waiting an hour and just watched it snow in Bellbrook :)

If you are out tonight just slow down and be careful. Road should start improving west to east but watch out for re-freeze.

Good morning all! Light snow here this morning with the trailing wave moving thru. Maysville the big winner with 7.5" from what I could find in our forum area.

As of midnight, 1.1" at CVG for the contest. DAY 0.8" CMH 1.1" We will update totals later on today for the entire event. About 2" for my backyard!

Good Morning Les. Looks like just a tad over 2 inches in backyard. Got the driveway shoveled already so a nice little workout. CVG reported 1.8 inches is what I saw. Looks like you won the bet Les and I owe you a nice cold brew. Models over the next several days will change and all we need is to see a couple pieces of energy to merge to get a nice system over the eastern 1/3 of the country.

QPF total at CVG was 0.14" Those last few Euro runs did a good job with that. NAM and GFS (CMC a couple of times too) seemed to be more hit or miss in regards to that.

Couldn't be more pleased with the way the forecast turned out, looking at the regional amounts from ILN and local media outlets . On To the next one

I agree 100p/c. No forecast is going to be perfect especially in winter storms. The storm was a little slower than I thought so that part I missed but how the storm turned out seemed correct. We have the cold in place for a couple of weeks so just start watching out for pieces of energy that can lead to a storm or two as well.
