4-6 is definitely doable in southern Montgomery county considering what is heading our way. If you already have 3 inches, 6 inches is not out of reach.

Correct me if I am wrong (and Rich A. and myself used to have this discussion often) - but our geography sometimes causes issues like today (all rain). Deep in the valley and next to the river. I can drive 5 miles from here, out of the valley and it will be icy. Atmospheric issues have always been difficult to overcome - I've been here my entire life and historically this is true. Thoughts?

Edit - location - Ripley, OH (Brown County) - right on the Ohio River

Les, I had a brief period of snow mixed with sleet an hour ago and then it went back to pinging and now it's very light sleet at 23 degrees. I'm hoping those returns to our SW have snow involved, I'm done with the sleet already! :banghead:

Still sleeting in Covington. Went out to clear a layer off my car and measured roughly 1.5 inches on a good flat spot on my garden wall. Not as thick a layer of ice under the sleet as I thought there would be. but all that sleet sure sounded pretty pushing it off the car LOL

i measured not long ago and we have 2.5" of sleet on the ground. Hopefully we will switch to snow sooner or later. The ice is going to be a problem for days.
