At 240 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Patriot, moving
east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, nickel size hail, and frequent
cloud-to-ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to
vegetation. Lightning can cause serious injury or death.

Locations impacted include...
New Richmond, Atwood, Bradford, Grants Lick, Florence, Ryle,
Northcutt, Big Bone Lick, Wheatley, New Palestine, Bracht,
Gardnersville, Ricedale, Vevay, Quercus Grove, Ethridge, Woolcutt,

All 3 of those storms near the river are hail producers

Looks like we have one more cell to the West then that should be it. Over three tenths now, around 0.35".

That last cell coming into the area from the West has gotten stronger. I may get another hailer here shortly.

Very Heavy rain is back.... good thunder and lightning too. Some wind and very small hail.

There might be a 4th cell trying to form to the West. I have been hit by 3 different cells already lol. I'll take it! Good for the new grass seed. Updated total now at 0.58"

Hearing booming thunder now from that 4th cell as it enters my area. Expecting another brief downpour of rain. Don't think I'll see hail, probably more towards Union if it were to occur.

Before the storms came, I hit 80. Now down to 61 degrees as the rain starts up once again. I will post another updated total once this one is done.

Temps continue to fall, down to 60 here, 58 Boone co mesonet site. Half inch to 1" has fallen across my county total from all 4 cells. Love it!

I was glad that the atmosphere up my way stayed dry as my Dad and I were able to get our first set of two Bocce ball games in for the spring tournament. We played against some neighborhood friends, Carolyn and Dean, and we won both games. Dean is a substitute player and filled in for another friend named Patty.

A cloudy and cool day today will improve tomorrow and become a nice Thurs! Good Friday is very mild with highs in that 75 to 80 degree range. Still looking wet Fri night thru early Easter Sunday. So far, for your Easter Egg hunts and such, do it Sunday afternoon versus Saturday. Right now, Sat is not looking very good. Mild this weekend though with highs around 70 give or take.

The wind is no joke either this morning. Already gusting to 33 mph per the 8am obs at CVG.

I sure hope the 06Z GFS is wrong for the Easter weekend as it's showing lots of rain through Monday! Ugh

We are doing Easter on Sat with the niece and nephews and the Easter Egg hunt maybe indoors this year. They will be at their other Grandmother's on Easter Sunday itself so we can't move it on this end.
