Not looking good for the Reds and the Cardinals are playing very well and they will be hard to catch. Yes the schedule is easy for us but when you are playing bad it really does not matter. The Cardinals on the other hand will be playing the Cubs and Brewers and expect the Brewers to sort of relax as they should have the division clinched later this week. Maybe next year.
Its truly amazing how a team struggles so much but to struggle esp with a last place team is even more baffling. Castellini needs to do a major overhaul during the off season!!
Luis Castillo (8-15) takes on TBD in a Business Day Special at 12:35 Wed.
More than likely Wed's matinee will be WASHED OUT.
Both the Redlegs and Pirates have a scheduled day off on Mon Sept 27th so maybe the powers-that-be will have them in a make up game then.

Bring Dusty Back. One of the great minds of baseball and I know the playoffs have not been great for him but he is so good with young talent. My worst nightmare is the Cardinals will get the 2nd wildcard spot and they could beat the Dodgers in a one game playoff.

I've always wished that Dusty was back, too, Bro.
Never cared for Bryan Price and even David Bell is so-so.
Funny how when the pressure is off the Reds start winning again! LOL Hats off to the Cards though, 16 straight and counting is an amazing feat for anyone.

Welcome back, Mike!
And not surprisingly our guys are not in any playoff chance now officially after Tues's game vs the White Sox.
As the ole proverbial cliche goes ~~ "BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR!!"

Thanks, Eric! "Wait Til Next Year" Hopefully we don't have another 5-10 year 'rebuilding' phase upcoming!

I know what ya mean, Bro!
With newbies Tony Santillan, Jose Cessa, Mychal Givens, Reiver Sanmartin, Riley O'Brien i.e. etc., that has me wondering, too, if they're about to enter yet another 'rebuilding' phase!
This is one prediction I wish was wrong but the Cardinals were always the biggest threat to the reds as the other teams like the Phillies and Mets are just not that good imo and the Padres had their best player out and a tough schedule. If the Reds could have played better they could have challenged the Cardinals even with 17 in a row they could have made it interesting,
I stopped posting on the Tigers a while back. Just got too depressing lol Anyway they will finish out the year with one more game at home with the Twins tonight, then on the road to Chicago for a 3 game series to wrap it up on 10/3. Thank God LOL Been an awful season for My Tigers but an improvement over last year to be honest.
