Wow its still unknown who will be the starting pitchers in the 1st game of the series between the Redlegs and Tigers for this evening.
Should be an entertaining series to watch.
Totally agree Bro. It ended up being Brandon Williamson and Joey Wentz.

Honestly if the Reds do not make the playoffs, I still consider this an awesome year. Wildly surpassing even the most optimistic predictions with a mostly rookie class. Hopefully ownership will reward their efforts this off season by stocking up on free agent pitching! Can't use the COVID or low attendance excuse this time around Bob!
Tigers win today 8-2 and finally took 1 game from the Reds. Next up for Detroit is a West coast trip to LA to face the Angles. First pitch is tomorrow night at 9:38pm. Tarik Skubal will kick things off.

Congrats to your Tigers, Bro on salvaging the 3rd game! Nice grand slam, too!

Thanks Bro! At least the Reds still have a shot at a wild card spot. The Tigers season was over before it even began... SSDD.
Two weeks left in the MLB regular season. The wild card in the NL is still in the cards as 6 teams going after 3 positions. No play-in games as that changed over the past couple of years. The Reds would lose most of the tie-breakers against the other teams so we just need to get 1 game ahead of 3 teams to make the playoffs. Philly looks good but the other 5 is a toss up at this point. Will be fun to watch and if the Reds get in that is a year ahead of schedule.

After today the Reds have a series with the AL Central-leading Twins which could be tough, then next weekend the lowly Pirates, then a series with the "Indians" and the Cards to finish the regular season. Last place St Louis was surprisingly shocking last weekend in Cincy as they took command in Games 1 and 2. They must have made some exceptional trades at the early Aug deadline!
