Lol, 60 NYE degrees. Maybe i'll sit on the front porch and enjoy all the gunshots going off to ring in the new year.

Hi Angelika. The mid-south is usually northern Mississippi,Alabama, northern Georgia and Tennessee. Something to watch for sure today and hopefully your dad will listen to the latest weather. Don't believe its anything like the last outbreak in early December but there are chances of some stronger storms probably south of Lexington. This system may produce heavier rains instead of the severe part in Kentucky but way to close to call and especially if that area gets into some sunshine later today.

BTW CVG may hit an all time record rainfall today which I believe is near 1 1/2 inch for Jan 1. If its going to rain lets break the record.

1.22" event total for CVG and around 1.14" here. Severe wx stayed to our south which was good news but no so good news in KY. 3 more surveys being down by NWS LOU.
