Tropical Atlantic season will go done as a dud in terms of the amount of storms but 1 big one can sort of change the medias coverage of how Hurricanes are becoming stronger and more often.

I am not sure how much more action we'll see in the Atlantic. Cannot rule out a couple more named storms, but you're right. If we see nothing else, this season will certainly be remembered for Ian. Like 1992 was a quiet season but will always be remembered for Andrew.

It's been a while, but we've got a wave to track now with 20 / 30 for odds for development. Per the NHC, there is a trough located from the Caribbean Sea to the Western Atlantic (Bermuda). The tropical wave is just N of Puerto Rico drifting north. There is a small window for a sub tropical system to develop before it gets ripped apart in the Western ATL. No threat to the CONUS is expected at this time.

Lisa is down to a TS now with winds of 45 moving W at 10 over the Yucatan Penn. Can Lisa survive and make it back into the S Gulf or is she about over with? Martin is still a cane with winds of 85 moving NNE at 46! Martin is expected to weaken into a TS this weekend over the N ATL and eventually it may head towards Spain and Portugal.
