How did Colton and Cooper's teams do today, Bro? :)

What did you guys reel in? :smilefish:
Colton did not have a game. Cooper did and he had several nice hits including 1 double. He played 1B in the 2nd inning and also got a guy out from the opposing team!

Fishing was slow. 1 small saugeye, a nice perch and a white bass. Too nice a day I guess lol
Cooper could give the Redlegs some pointers! 8-)

I need the guys to beat the Cards this week so can avoid being "ribbed" at my cousin's wedding from my eastern MO baseball fan cousins lol. ;)

Pretty rare to see the lack of rainfall forecast for the corn belt region the last 10 days of May and going into June. Split flow this time of year leaves the mid section of the country high and dry

Agreed and I also like how Tim spelled it out in his post this morning. Different wording but virtually the same thing. We're in between the jets in no mans land so nothing but high pressure for us. I am watching Friday and I'm sure you saw us discussing this this morning. That is really the only fly in the ointment with the forecast that I can see thru the next 7 days.

No doubt and yes during an El Nino the south and east are usually wet and folks just north of that area tends to be dry. I understand this is not an official El Nino but many times at the start or ending of these events you get what is typical in an El Nino or La Nina. This dryness also can start to lead into a hot spell or maybe a short term heat wave in the middle of the country but a tad further north than you would expect this time of year. Could this lead us into a hotter pattern and sure I can see that happening. My thoughts have always been a later May into maybe mid-July where summer is quite toasty and dry followed by a cooler and maybe somewhat wetter second half of summer and leads us into a cooler than normal fall season. Not sure it will pan out exactly but will stick with that until I see otherwise.

LOL! CPC's Summer Outlook is out. Going with normal to slightly above normal in temps and above normal precip. Better hope things change come June for their Outlook to be right.

12Z GFS tries to bring in some light run Sun morning with that low to our east slinging in some moisture. low chance as we've said earlier. The Euro is similar and even lower chances lol We're talking less then a tenth of an inch.

54 here this morning. Another couple of beauties on tap before we drop towards 70ish for Thurs with lows Fri morning around 45. Then we bounce back up. Rain chances with that cut off low are increasing on the GFS,. 50% Sat, 20-30% Sun onwards. The Euro still has a 10-20% chance Sunday otherwise dry.

Mid to upper 70s across the area. Low 80s should be doable this afternoon. Low to mid 80s tomorrow then we drop behind the dry backdoor front. Do we stay in the 60s on Thursday or can we hit 70?

12Z GFS is now more like the Euro with the low further east. More dryness then wetness. Best chances on this run are Memorial Day and Tues of next week.

This isn’t a good sign for the mid section of the country. Need to see a change in the pattern during the second week of June for agricultural reasons

Another good example of the inaccuracies of official lows that go on across the US. Louisvilles official temp at the airport some 8-12 deg warmer than the majority of that region. We know they are notoriously famous for discrepancies but it’s one of many throughout the country

Good ole UHI! Even CVG doesn't get as cold as the site used too. Amazon is making my area more of a "concrete jungle". CVG I believe stayed in the 60s for the low this morning. I am 3 miles south and got down to 54.

Low to mid 80s today, upper 60s to around 70 tomorrow, then the 70s thereafter thru the weekend. Going to keep a small rain chance in the forecast but it is small. Most folks will probably remain dry per the latest data. 80s return next week. Mid to even upper 80s are on the table. :o

The thing I keep noticing on the GFS are the back door cold fronts that come through here at least once a week cooling us down with little rain fall. It'll show some rain until we get closer as the fronts end up coming through dry. Ugh!
