Cincy took 1 of 3 from St Louis as they got edged 4-3 in the season finale! :banghead:  Blasted dirty birds!

Redlegs finish the 2023 season at:

3rd place with 82 wins / 80 losses at .506 and 10 games back.

Now the billion dollar question ~~ Along with Bob and Phil Castellini, will Nick Krall and Brad Meador and their promotions to president of baseball operations and senior vice president and GM start bringing together a battle force of pitching sooner than later despite the GABP being known as a hitters venue?!?!

Tigers win 5-2. They finish the regular season with a 78=84 record 2nd place in the AL Central 9 games behind the Twins. Terrible! Miggy played his last game as a Tiger yesterday and is now retired from playing baseball, however, he did get a job in the Tigers Front Office. :)

Congrats to Miggy, Bro! 8-)

I remember after the 2013 Redlegs season (the first season that my folks and I moved to Greenville from NC) when then Manager Dusty Baker graduated to the Cincy Front Office for a time and after that as we know is the Astros Manager.

And for the, how many years in a row now ? the Stros are in the postseason again! ;) Also the Rangers clinched a Wild Card.

Both the Marlins and Rays also clinched a Wild Card. So TX has both teams in the postseason and FL, too.

Even though they fell short, this team was definitely exciting to watch and gives me hope for the future. They WAY overperformed even the most optimistic projections. NOW - Ole Uncle Bob can't blame lack of attendance on spending some dough this winter and shoring up the pitching staff/bullpen.

Gonna be tough to beat the Braves - man that team is stacked top to bottom. Shocked they didn't win like 120 games this year to be honest.

I look for big things from Houston again as my boy Justin Verlander is back with them again. His counter part Max Scherzer went to the Texas Rangers (Both pitchers were with the Mets at the beginning of the season).

Seems like the Braves, Brewers, and Dodgers along with the Astros e.g. make it to the postseason just about every year of late. ;)
