Catching the Brewers also I have thrown out so not worried about the division. So who is going to be the pain in the neck for getting the wild card and that team is the Cardinals. They are playing much better and I believe 2.5 games behind us for the final wild card spot.
Either the Cards or the Phillies....however the Phils have been tanking lately as well.

I threw out the Phillies because their bull pen is worse than the Reds. I guess also the Mets if they played like they did for the 1st half of the year.

And to think the Redlegs had won 6 in a row in early April and then started floundering around and went 'south'. Have had such high hopes for them this season. Given that the Bengals have performed like a pile of poo in recent seasons under stamina-trying Mikey Brown.

Tigers win 5-3 in 11 innings! Miggy hit his 500th career homer also in the game. Next up for Detroit is a series against the Redlegs' enemy the Redbirds! :o Off day today and it's a 2 quick 2 game series. Tues night at 7:45pm is first pitch with Casey Mize. Hopefully Detroit can win both games to assist not only themselves but Cincinnati as well. :)

Agreed since the Cards seem to be the only realistic team to catch them in the WC. Both the Pads and Phils are slumping

I have some cousins whom they and their families reside in O'Fallon, MO, right near St Louis, so its always been a big rivalry in that way, too, division-wise. :)

Bullpen Bullpen.....oh well! Pretty obvious for awhile now we will never catch the Brew Crew. Our only hope is 2nd WC with a one game playoff with the Dodgers in LA! Yipee! :o

We'll NEVER get to another World Series, Bro, as long as Bob Castellini remains owner, as BOTH he and Bungles owner Mikey Brown REFUSE to expand to BIGGER markets!! Such TIGHTWADS!!

I just really wish we would get owners here that care about the game rather than making rolls of $$$$$$. Heck people loathed George Steinbrenner, but dang at least he gave a crap about winning and would pull all the stops (and spend the dough) to make it happen.

I know what ya mean, Bro.

When I resided for 2 1/2 years during the 1980s in southeast NY state I went with a group from a church I attended to my 1 and only AL game at the former Yankee Stadium when Billy Martin was the manager. :) And of course we all know about his like / loathe relationship with Steinbrenner. The Yanks beat the Orioles in that game. :) Don Mattingly, Willie Randolph i.e. etc. were some of the AL East stars then. :thumbupright:

I always enjoyed those episodes of "Seinfeld" of George Constanza, Karl Mauldin, and Larry David who starred as George Steinbrenner. :thumbupright:
