You got it!Bgoney wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 6:30 amGot a think that would be perfect winter situation for you , cold and snowy…check, or warm and good fishing….checktron777 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 5:52 am Normally, Lake Erie has ice or the weather is so bad you cant get out. Winter time fishing and early spring can be some of the best walleye fishing of the year and since the weather this winter has been nice, you've been able to get out quite a bit. Wish I lived up there lol

What is wrong with people. Every official weigh site is going to have to have an x-ray machine or metal detection device, that includes all fishing tournaments

It's such a shame! The problem keeps getting worse as you mentioned. Too many dishonest people out there.Bgoney wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 6:47 pm What is wrong with people. Public court records show that Parkhurst has been implicated in several criminal cases and charged with at least five felonies in Kansas since 2019. Most recently he was convicted of one felony count of identity theft in October and sentenced to 18 months probation on Feb. 8.
Sounds like Bobby Parkhurst should either be banned from fishing again or locked up for several years!!
So sad peeps like him taint the love and sport of fishing!

Most fishermen and hunters are good people that do take the time to obey the rules and follow the local laws and regs. Most are good natured people who do take the time to be conservative since this is a precious natural resource. As with most things in left, a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch and that's what sucks.

Re: AV Fishing and Hunting Talk
Quick Lake Erie update from our trip over this past weekend... The best action for us was over by Marblehead. A few miles east of the light house in about 30 foot of water. We used husky jerk crank baits about 40-60 feet back from the planer board. Sometimes even deeper 75 to 90 foot back from the board. We were running 8 rods and had a couple of quadruple headers yesterday (meaning 4 rods had a fish on at the same time lol). We got 'em all in too! Caught 21 eyes on Sat and 19 in about 2 1/2 hours on Sunday (shortened day of fishing due to traveling home). Size wise... 3 to 8 pound range was common. All of the big females were loaded with eggs as expected this time of year. Water temp was around 38 degrees. No wind over the weekend so the lake was flat.

Sounds awesome Les. Those short productive trips are a great way to at least temporarily forget troubles and to recharge the battery (mind)

For any of the females that you kept, do people ever eat walleye roe for an appetizer?

Probably just certain fish then.
To me fish roe for an appetizer is about as gross as say liver pate.
