Starter Hunter Greene finally got his 3rd win of the season and the 1st since his return from hip rehab.

A day off Thurs and then a 10 game home stand to start Sept starting with 4 vs the Cubbies for Labor Day weekend.

A make up DH as Graham Ashcraft takes on Jordan Wicks in Game 1 at 1:10 and then TBD takes on TBD in Game 2 at 6:40 Fri.

Tigers lose again 6-2. I hope we can avoid getting swept today at 1:10pm with Matt Manning. I can't wait until this awful season is over. We've had many awful seasons in a row too.

Tigers lost 4-3 in 10 innings and got swept by the Yankees. Now we travel to Chicago to face the White Sox. 8:10pm tonight with Eduardo Rodriguez.

The guys split a DH yesterday as they lost Game 1 6-2 and won Game 2 3-2.

2 starter Cincy pitchers Hunter Greene, Ben Lively, and reliever Fernando Cruz are out for a while as they are on a 7-day Covid-19 list as of Fri while a 3rd starter Graham Ashcraft went on the IL in Game 1 of the DH with a toe injury.

Andrew Abbott takes on Javier Assad at 6:40 Sat.

Redlegs pitching totally fell apart in the 8th and 9th innings, esp the 8th, as they got killed 15-7!!

They split 2-2 in their last meeting with the Cubs this regular season.

Next is a 3 game series vs the AL West 1st place Mariners.

TBD takes on Bryan Woo at 4:10 Labor Day.

What a hellacious game tonight as the guys got edged 4-3!!

3rd baseman Noelvi Marte sustained a facial contusion after "catching" a ball in the face before the game that Elly De La Cruz had playfully tossed toward him. Thankfully no fracture. So Marte is now on the day to day IL.

Then later in the 4th inning catcher Tyler Stephenson disputed a call with an ump but was not ejected but Mgr David Bell then came onto the field and started talking with the ump and was ejected. Then a coach who was interim manager also got ejected later after another dispute!

For heaven's sake you'd think the guys were playing the Brew Crew with how they've not been able to outperform the lowly Cards!! SHEESH!! **SMH**

Hunter Greene takes on Miles Mikolas in the rubber match at 1:40 Sun!

With all the tension from tonight I pray and hope that at some point in tomorrow's rubber match won't spill over into a brawl between these 2 NL Central rivals!!

Redlegs were able to avoid getting swept as they took 1 of 3 vs the dirty birdies and won 7-1!
