Picked up another quick 0.3 inches from a pretty heavy shower. Not much wind and only a couple claps of thunder.

Can I cry uncle? I picked up another 0.15 inches of rain last night for a total so far of 2 inches even. I don't need any more for a few days.

Maybe I should not have emptied the rain guage. Raining for the last 20 minutes. Still coming down.

Yeah, I was thinking similar thoughts. I think I will feed the pups a little early so I can get my male dog walked before it gets here.

A winter wonderland out there. Walked the dog, visibility less than a half mile. My black jacket and dog were both white when we got home. Bare dirt and pavement nothing sticking.

Small flakes, but sticking nicely. Dusting grass and elevated surfaces.

Seeing dime to nickle sized flakes. Just flurries so far.

Just out with the pup. Starting a light mixed precipitation.

It's here. Pup just had me out and sleet mixed with sprinkles. Sticking to deck.

In the last 30 minutes went from mostly sunny to solid overcast here. Sun felt pretty nice.

Well, my 3 year old pup is miffed. Covered her best smells and a pain to walk on. Not a happy camper, but I have to admit, I want snow.

Just walked the dogs. Moderate sleet with a few tiny snow flurries mixing in. Sidewalks that had been cleaned are slushy and slick. Non-cleared were crunchy, but not as slick.

Measured 2.25 around 2:00 pm, now just over 3 inches in Hyde Park. Moderate snow. Scanner radio is blowing up.

It has been interesting reading about the effects of the volcano eruption in Tonga. The explosion created gravity waves in the atmosphere and the pressure wave was recorded by barometers around the world.

Had to stop at Kroger's today, really needed milk. On way out I saw a pallet of salt. Remembered last winter we were almost out and had to buy softener pellets as everyone were sold out of bagged salt. Two bags now in the basement.

Atmosphere finally moistened up. Took the garbage out at 9:30, tiny dots falling here in Hyde Park. Just took the dog out and actual snow flurries now.
