Our current MCV is definitely weakening and the backside rain has fallen apart significantly. I am even seeing a peak or two of sun here. IMO the air mass may have a good chance at recovering ahead of the low for tonight.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Hamilton County in southwestern Ohio... Eastern Butler County in southwestern Ohio... Northern Clermont County in southwestern Ohio... Central Brown County in southwestern Ohio... Warren County ...
Shows over now... finally had some winds to 40 mph and the rainfall rate was very very impressive! I did not witness any hail. Just a good ole fashioned strong t-storm here. Thankfully, with the area of light to mod rain yet to come behind the line, everything should get a good drink. :) EDIT: CVG g...
Ran is picking up in intensity but not much wind. I suppose the warning was issued due to the radar showing high winds but so far IMBY, they are not making it to the surface. EDIT: Blinding rainfall now, wow!
Rain just started up now. By the looks of the radar, everything should get a nice drink with this first round of action. Glad I held off on watering my plants.
My high so far was 79, now down to 77 as the line moves in. My Dew is at 70 so the rain should be fairly heavy in nature. Not much wind as of yet. Just noisy so far with the thunder.
I do not hear any thunder nor do I see any lightning. Wind is light right now but it will get cranking shortly as the line moves in. Sky is getting dark so you know it's closing in.
T-storm warning now out for most of the tri-state. It is in effect until 2:15pm for penny sized hail and winds to 70 mph! Nice bow echo in NKY per radar! The line is racing NE at 50 mph. T-storm watch also in effect until 8pm. The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Severe Thunders...
3KM NAM's arrival time is similar to the HRRR's but the storms pack a punch! The sounding shows conditions favorable for all severe wx hazards including tornadoes as winds veer with heights and they try and back more to the SE at the surface. Large hail and wind is also of concern per this model. Pr...
I like your update there Trev. I think it'll also work out as you described. You can really feel the stickiness in the air! It'll be interesting to see how much rain we see thru Monday morning. 1-2" is a good call. Some folks less some more per the usual. Good Morning Les. Trying to figure out...

Good morning all! SPC has expanded the enhanced risk area further to the NE covering more of AV Country. Damaging winds will be the greatest risk for us. Hail and tornadoes are still a threat but the greatest threat for those two will be to our south and SW. Radar has round 1 already moving into St....

Got the brush pile burnt. Now it's time for cold beer! Got the grill going now. Baked potato, portobella mushroom and a t-bone steak! That'll be a nice meal!

Got the grass knocked down just in case we get a lot of rain so it's not a jungle by next weekend. Going to try and burn my big brush pile too. It's a collection of trimming the trees and such last Fall. It's been either too hot, too windy, or too wet so I have not been able to get it done. Ho...
Nice model battle shaping up between the 12Z HRRR (keeping the warm frontal activity together, longer) versus the 12Z NAM which weakens it. The end result will be how strong the line will be for Sunday evening / overnight depending on which scenario plays out earlier in the day.
