what do you guys think about that cell out over Madison, IN? Everything else looks like it's part of the congealed line right now.

Should have also noted, temps in Miamitown were warmer/muggier than here in Colerain Twp. The rain here has now stopped too, so I'll be watching/monitoring temps here next.

Re: April 2024 Weather Discussion
Just made a quick drive to Miamitown to drop off my mother for an appointment; Miamaitown is about 6-7 miles West of my house. Was raining and totally cloud covered here when I left, by the time I pulled into the lot in Miamitown, the rain was over, the skies to the west have quite a bit of clearing...

Re: We Haven't Had Enough...Let's Get Screwed Again! Feb 16-17, 2024
I don't recall ever having a winter where 90% of our storm threads turn into utter failure. For the 2023-2024 season, we've had 1 or 2 successful threads and that's been it. What have we done to piss off the snow gods? Anybody have an extra goat they don’t want , to sacrifice for the good of ...

My forecast for this storm is that we are going to be in the bullseye at some point over the next couple of days. Within 24 hours this storm will turn into a Kentucky special with 3-5 inches from Louisville to Lexington. Cincinnati gets an inch or less. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :tapp...

I have a strange little theory though. For how long now were we hearing all the stories about how the lakes in the west have been draining (Lake Mead/Lake Powell) and all the gnashing of teeth. Well, now the last several years that is slowly reversing, right? What if something like that is actually ...

Here's to hoping for the new model runs panning out. I really hate the nasty wind makers, my house sits at the bottom of a hill, it's a bloody wind tunnel. If the winds get too nasty, it'll play havoc with my icicle lights, and I'm too much of a chicken to get up there to fix them, I have to get my ...

Bgoney, the good thing is in the extended chances are going up for many areas from the GOM to the mid-west and Ohio Valley. I have been lucky this year and got rain while others have been missed. Last year during the late summer and fall I missed every rain chance. I know my son up in northern Wisc...

Re: AV Turns 15 in August!
I go back to the old Skyeye days, still remember most fondly the Apuzzo Blizzard before Christmas 2004. I knew well in advance what the weather was going to be like that day; sadly, my Company had no clue, so they delayed sending employees home until it was really already too late. I, however, knew ...

How appropriate Les that you had one called "Hammer Time" in your stash from last year. That should be paying you a royalty for the name.

Had our Company's outing yesterday at KI, WOW it was COLD! Still had a good time, but didn't stay all that long. Hoping we're finally turning the corner, it's like we got a crappy shaft job of a winter so it just won't go away now. Bring on the Climate Change!

Re: February 2023 Discussion
i'd like just one more snow where i can overseed my lawn and let the snow gently push it in. Otherwise, I'm ready for warmer weather and hopefully some thunder.
FYI, it started back to raining here and the wind is pretty brisk again.

This winter started off so well with our Christmas snowstorm and frigid temps and then a complete joke of a winter after NYC still hasn't seen a flake yet. But they've got Eric Adams, so...... I was waiting for you to comment Dave! You never disappoint.   I'm here all week...

and wouldn't it also seem that most times for the snowfall rates to be that high the Low needs to be stronger, and if the Low is stronger, it pulls in more warm air? Great post Dave. Absolutely correct. We live in an area where everything has to go right for a big dog. I mean 6-12"+, something...
